How to enable Cookies in your browser

Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE)

To enable cookies in Internet Explorer browsers, use the following procedure:
  1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options. You see the Internet Options dialog that provides a number of tabs that allow you to set your browser preferences.
  2. To enable session cookies, click the Privacy tab.
  3. From the Settings section of the tab, click Advanced.
  4. Locate and click the checkbox next to Always allow session cookies.
  5. Click OK to accept cookie handling changes and close the Security Settings window.
  6. From the Internet Options dialog, click Apply to effect settings then OK to close the dialog.

Google Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Advanced.
  4. Under "Privacy and security," click Content settings.
  5. Click Cookies.
  6. Make sure that Allow sites to save and read cookie data is turned on.

Mozilla Firefox

To enable cookies in Mozilla Firefox 2.x/3.x (PC):
  1. Click Tools > Options.
  2. Click Privacy in the top panel.
  3. Select the checkbox labeled 'Accept cookies from sites.'
  4. Click OK.
To enable cookies in Mozilla Firefox 1.x (PC):
  1. Click Tools > Options.
  2. Click Privacy in the top panel.
  3. Click the Cookies tab.
  4. Select the checkbox labeled 'Allow sites to set cookies.'
  5. Click OK.
To enable cookies in Mozilla Firefox (Mac):
  1. Go to the Firefox drop-down menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Click Privacy.
  4. Under Cookies, select the option 'Allow sites to set Cookies.'

Safari

To enable cookies in Safari:
  1. Go to the Safari drop-down menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Click Security in the top panel.
  4. Under 'Accept Cookies' select the option 'Only from sites you navigate to.'

How to enable JavaScript in your browser

Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE)

  1. Select 'Internet Options...' from the Tools menu in your browser window.
  2. Click on the 'Security' tab in the upper left corner of the 'Internet Options' dialog box.
  3. Click the 'Internet' icon (the globe).
  4. Click the 'Default Level' button. If that button is grayed out, set the 'Security Level' slider to 'Medium'.
  5. Click the 'Apply' button then the 'OK' button to save your changes and close the dialog box.
  6. Close all browser windows and relaunch your browser.

Chrome

  1. Click the Customize and control Google Chrome icon (three horizontal bars in the upper right corner).
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click Show advanced settings... at the bottom.
  4. Under Privacy, click the Content Settings button.
  5. Cookies: check Allow local data to be set.
  6. Javascript: check Allow all sites to run JavaScript.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Select 'Options' from the Tools menu in your browser window.
  2. Click on the 'Content' tab in the upper left corner of the 'Options' dialog box.
  3. Click the 'Enable Java' checkbox so that the checkbox is checked.
  4. Click the 'Enable JavaScript' checkbox so that it is also checked.
  5. Click 'OK' to save your changes and close the 'Options' dialog box.
  6. Close all browser windows and relaunch your browser.

Safari

  1. Select Preferences from the Safari menu.
  2. Select Security tab at the top.
  3. Make sure "Enable JavaScript" is checked.
